Rohit Sharma in the last One Day International against the Aussies on Sunday completed 6000 One Day International runs with a stunning knock of 125 from 109 balls. Rohit Sharma on Sunday became the only ninth Indian batsman to enter the elite 6000 club and we are much ecstatic about it! Rohit Sharma registered his 14th One Day International century as India sealed the series 4-1.
Rohit Sharma is getting more destructive with each game and this gives a great boost to India’s chances at the 2019 World Cup campaign for India would be largely dependent on him for good starts to steer things right and with the middle order woes he would have a great onus upon himself. Rohit Sharma now has a tally of 6 hundreds against the Kangaroos. The boy does take a lot of liking to the Aussie bowlers its seems!
He has also outdone his previous tally of most centuries in a calendar year with 4 tons this year going past the tally of 3 in 2015. Remember, Hitman is the only batsman to ever score two double centuries in a 50 over game. The best part about Rohit Sharma is the fact that he never gives up learning. After the match he said that there are still areas he needs to work upon and this is how a good player should be, never getting complacent.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli compliment each other really well at the crease and when these two are at the crease things look pretty simple for India and this is one pair whose performance would be very crucial for India in the 2019 hunt. Both of these batsman improve with every game and work really hard to rectify their weak zones and that is what makes them the best batsmen in the side with Kohli of course taking the lead.
Rohit Sharma has been involved in 6 century plus opening stands for India this year which shows that his consistency is only getting better and better. We congratulate Hitman on this wonderful achievement! We are sure that we would see him leaving behind many more milestones and he would continue to be one of the strongest pillars of the Indian lineup.
